3 ton floor jack
Three ton means two thousand lb per ton. Three ton capacity equals 6,000 lb [2,722 kg]. That is lift capacity at the saddle. It is not a support rating. Use jack stands after lifting.
Clear guide to the three ton class. You get dual units, lift ranges, low profile picks, and long frame picks with links.
Capacity check example
A 6,000 lb [2,722 kg] SUV can place about 3,000 lb [1,361 kg] on the front axle at mid balance. One jack point can see about 1,500 to 2,000 lb [about 680 to 907 kg]. A three ton jack covers that with margin when you follow the manual.
What 3 ton means
A floor jack raises part of the vehicle. It does not support the load for work. Place stands under maker approved points and lower the load onto the stands.
Three ton jacks cover most cars and SUVs and half ton pickups. They give more lift height and frame reach than two ton jacks. That helps reach crossmembers and axles.

Safe use in one page
- Read the jack manual and the vehicle manual
